While representing the parents in the first grandparent visitation case in the State of Illinois, I worked with then Senator William Marovitz to have the law changed. My view that the law was unconstitutional was substantiated some years later when the Illinois Supreme Court ruled that the modified grandparent visitation statute was unconstitutional.
